My client reached out to me for a second home renovation project, and I was thrilled for the opportunity to help in transforming her spaces into a reflection of her current self. As humans, we are constantly evolving, and our homes should evolve with us.
The first time we renovated her home five years ago, my client wasn’t sure about her vision. However, this time, she was clear and decisive. She wanted a light and airy feel, yet cozy at the same time. With this in mind, we got to work.
Our first step was to replace the floor tiles with larger, glossy ones in a brighter shade. These new tiles not only reflect natural light, making the space appear larger and more fluid, but they also add a modern touch.
Next, we changed the wall color palette to a lighter tone with a hint of color for added depth. A major consideration for this project was that my client wanted to keep her existing furniture, which was still in good condition. So, we focused on updating it instead.
Together, we chose new fabrics and had everything reupholstered, resulting in a marvelous transformation. The final touch was a beautiful custom-made rose sofa, adding a feminine and cozy touch and bringing even more light and flow into the space.
Overall, I accomplished my mission, the spaces were transformed successfully, and my client was extremely satisfied with the results. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Here is what my client had to say about her recently completed project: “This was my second opportunity working with Aurea design and I was more than happy with the results, same as I was the first time around. My desires in the feeling I wanted when I walked into my house were met to the dot. I wanted light, peaceful yet cozy and that’s just what I got!” Catalina Araya
