Hi! My name is Maria Laura Chaves, and as an architect and interior designer in Costa Rica my mission is to help you create the place of your dreams. With over 15 years experience in the architecture, interior and furniture design world, I have had the opportunity to work with world class companies like Gensler and Caducus Folium. Which have given me experience and the right tools to throughout the years define and refine my signature design style. Based mainly in my all time favorite contemporary style, adapting it to our tropical environment here in Costa Rica, and always keeping an eco-friendly philosophy in mind. I would love to hear from you, your ideas and dreams, so we can work together in making them come true.
For me, design and architecture are more than just a job – they are a true passion. I find joy in exploring different styles, materials, and techniques to create spaces that are unique and reflective of my clients’ personalities and needs. It’s not just about creating a beautiful space, but rather about crafting a space with soul and character and that’s what Aurea Designs is all about.
I believe that a well-designed space should not only be visually appealing, but also have a certain “wow” factor that leaves a lasting impression. This is why I always strive to push the boundaries and think outside the box when it comes to my designs.
